Australian Prosthodontic Society - Terms of Use

Thank you for visiting the Australian Prosthodontic Society (APS) website (the "Site"). By accessing and using the Site, you agree to the following terms and conditions of use (the "Terms") established by APS. Please read these Terms carefully.

BY ACCESSING AND USING THE SITE, YOU AGREE THAT YOU HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND THESE TERMS AND THAT YOU ACCEPT AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS AND ANY CHANGES TO THESE TERMS.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you are not authorized to access and use the Site.

APS may change these Terms, the Site, and any of its content at any time without prior notice. All changes are effective when APS posts a revised version of these Terms or other notice on the Site. You should review these Terms regularly to stay informed of any changes. Your continued use of the Site constitutes your agreement to be bound by these Terms as they may be amended.

1. Ownership

The Site is provided as a service of APS. All content, images, information, and other materials on the Site (collectively, "Content") are the property of APS or used with permission, and are protected under Australian and international copyright and trademark laws. You do not acquire any ownership rights by accessing or using the Site or its Content.

You may access and use the Site only for personal or other non-commercial, educational purposes. Unauthorized access or use of the Site or Content, including copying, selling, or redistributing, constitutes a violation of these Terms and may infringe upon applicable copyright or trademark laws.

By submitting any information or material to the Site or to APS (a "Submission"), you grant APS an irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, transferable, fully paid, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, create derivative works from, adapt, publish, translate, sell, and distribute your Submission. You represent and warrant that you have the right to grant such a license.

6. Security

APS takes commercially reasonable measures to secure and protect information transmitted to and from the Site. However, APS does not guarantee that such transmissions are or will be completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any information about you, including your User ID and password. APS is not liable for any unauthorized access or use of your account.

APS makes no warranty, guarantee, or representation regarding the accuracy or sufficiency of the information on the Site. The Site and its Content are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE." APS expressly disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

In no event will APS or its affiliates be liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, or special damages arising from your use of the Site or Content. This includes, but is not limited to, lost profits, data, business interruptions, or damages caused by third-party actions.

10. Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. By accessing the Site, you submit to the jurisdiction of Australian courts, and any disputes arising under these Terms will be resolved exclusively in Australia.

11. Products and Prices

    • Membership Pricing: Membership pricing is state-dependent. Prospective and existing members will be updated on the current membership rates for their respective states during their state meetings.
    • Event Pricing: Event pricing will be as advertised, specific to each event.

12. Refunds

    • Membership: Resigning members are subject to the terms and conditions of the APS Constitution, available on this website. Membership to APS and AANZP is non-refundable.
    • Events: Each event has a specific cancellation policy, including time frames, applicable to it. If not explicitly stated, the following standard cancellation policy applies:
      • 2 weeks prior to event: A refund will be given for cancellations made at least 2 weeks prior to the event, minus a $50 + GST administration fee.
      • 1 week prior to event: For cancellations made up to 1 week before the event, a 50% refund will be provided, or attendees may transfer to another event (of the same cost) at no charge, with a maximum transfer time of 2 years.
      • Less than 1 week to event: No refund will be given for cancellations made with less than 1 week's notice.
      • Non-attendance: Delegates who fail to attend will be liable for 100% of the course fee.
      • Cancellations: Must be submitted in writing via email to apsincsec@gmail.com.
      • Substitution of delegates: Can occur at any time at no additional cost.
